Removal of SP2 gone wrong...

Hi, I was removing Service pack 2 on the recommendations of a friend, and due to the fact that my VAIO seemed to take the removal fine, I made the bad choice of removing it from my other computer, for convenience of gaming/hosting servers. The removal of that annoying security module was a plus. Now however, the computer will not boot at all, after the windows screen, instead of directing me to the log in screen the computer will reboot and its deja vu all over again. i tried safe mode, and resetting to default settings, with no luck. I would appreciate help from ze Lords of Majorgeek!!!

Sounds like you removed things that you shouldn't of. Playing around with a death tool such as XP, any slip up will cause something like what's happened to you. Here's an article I ran by that might help:

Yes, it does. Definitely. LOL. I actually hope my dad has those backed up. I think he does, but we have to figure this monkey first.

Any and all suggestions will be appreciated. Idk how to boot the POS now. So any lil piece of info would be gladly accepted, other than the obvious statements like the post above me (no names )
