remove sp2 updates

Hello I am on xp sp2

And just updated and restarted the pc

now I have xp sp2 buggy

how do i remove the SP2 updates I just downloaded?

 

How is it buggy?

 

Just seems slower

nothing to bad?

 

Id rather just download specific updates from the microsoft site,

I have already have a good firewall and anitivirus

a bit like linux security

only downloading what u know

SO are the updates able to be removed through registry?

 

It is a very GOOD idea to keep sp2 installed on your machine, since it does help prevent security issues for coming in.

I'd recommend going to windows update, and picking up the next slew of critical updates.

Removing sp2 can and will cause issues in the future. UNLESS, you never use this computer on the internet.

 

No way am i thinking of removing the sp2 because

i bought this as retail

what I mean is just the last updates I let the automatic updates , install on my computer.

Sorry, misunderstood.

If you knew which updates were installed, then you could uninstall the individual ones, via add/remove programs, making sure the check the box, "show updates" or something like that.

Also, windows update, should show a history of what updates were installed on your computer.

Note, I do not recommend uninstalling any updates. Do at your own, security risk.

There is an upcoming update from MS, that will fix an issue, that a certain fix, caused some issues. Should be coming very soon.
