   How can I get symantec out of a system?

   Moved to new thread.
   
   Indeed you will need to tell us what Symantec product you need to remove as wellas what Windows version you are using, but pre-empting this, you will first need to uninstall it from Add/Remove from Windows, then if Norton Antivirus, then once uninstalled run this removal tool
   
   Then run CCleaner and its cleaner and Registry tool to clean up any orphaned files, run the registry one until nothing is found.
