removed old java from add/remove programs but i have a question

    ok yesterday i removed the old java from my add/remove programs and replaced it with j2se runtime enviroment 5.0 update 5 like shadow puter dude said

    but i forgot to remove it from my c program files but now soince the old java and the new vewrsion is all the the same folder i dont know what to rem ove

    ok, shouldnt be too much of a problem to clear up, so you have removed the old Java using Add/Remove? ok remove the New Java the same way, then goto C:\Program Files and remove the Java folder, then re-install the New Java and then you'll know all you have is the correct version files only.

    ok i removed the new update and removed the java folder then i just clicked on the icon i have from the update when i downloaded the update yesterday and i got the update back

    thanks halo your the best

    oh hey can i remove that setup wizard icon on my desktop i got it yesterday when i downloaded the upodate

    yes you can, if you ever need to re-instal Java you can just re-download it again.


    TIP: best bet bookmark the Java download site/location in your favorites, I tend to have in my favorites a bookmark folder for downloads to drivers, common used apps etc
