Removing a program in add/remove

I have a question about software removal if anyone can advise me. I installed a new dvd burner and it played fine. I previously had a cd burner and kept it as a slave. My question is that I removed the old Nero software using the add/remove and it went ok but I was unable to remove a program called InCD.Every time I try to remove it I get an error message . I still went ahead and installed the new Nero software but noticed strange behavior. When I open the dvd door I get the blue screen of death. I have gone and removed all the software again and want to start a fresh install of it but InCD program still shows up in add/remove and I keep getting an error when I try to remove it. Hijack this is reporting it gone so my question is should I go ahead and just delete the c:\windows\InCD folder and the c:\program files\Ahead folder and if I do that will the InCD program disappear from the add/remove list. These are all the software folders left over after I uninstalled the software. I think there may have been a conflict with leftover files from the old Nero software even though I uninstalled it except for the InCD which I couldn't uninstall using add/remove. Any advice will be appreciated as I can foresee days of rebooting if I make the wrong move.

 

Go to Nero's website, and they have software removal tools for this as well as cleaners, to make sure that previous versions are completely uninstalled and all registry entries deleted. Hope this helps!

 

Thanks, I will try that. I guess what I was trying to say is how can I manually remove this software so that I know that it's gone so there will be no conflicts between old and new versions.
