Removing adware causes XP Home to crash

Removed ezula etc from XP Home using Adaware..free version
caused 15 minute reboots and dissapearing windows features, like the toolbar and start button. Trying to save data from drive yields NTFS file system errors. Can't get to restore points .
Any Ideas would be helpful.

 

Could you interupt your boot and then select the last time it worked properly. I forget what the correct terminology is.

Reboot, and then push the reset button before the OS loads. It should give you a text screen with an option of last known good start, or something like that.

 

AdAware has a save function, if you can't use that to restore, then reboot hitting the "F8" key till you can do as Mr. P said.

 

You can also try to reinstall that crap, backup your files and then try to get rid of it. HTH Good luck.

I would go with Windows XP... much more stable than earlier OS' and very easy to use...

if you are feeling crazy, you could go with a Linux OS, but it will take a bit longer to learn if you are used to Microsoft
