removing kazaa

is it ok to use explorer to delete kazaa?
or would it still be there in some form

 

I would try and remove Kazaa throught the Add/Remove window first. Apon finish you can then remove the Kazaa folders in explorer. You might also be interested in downloading and running Adaware and Spybot. To remove the files that Kazaa places in different parts of your computer.

 

and also a registry cleaner like regcleaner. it seems that kazaa likes to leave a lot of them.

 

Kazaa is extremely difficult to completely remove.

You can get utilities and scanners that will remove it.
Kazaabegone is a good free app that will uninstall it completely.

The manual removal method is painstakingly long,

Uninstall Kazaa from Add/Remove Programs.

Delete the following files/directories,

C:\Program Files\Kazaa\

C:\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\KaZaA\

C:\Windows\Desktop\Kazaa Media Desktop.lnk C:\Windows\Desktop\My shared Folder.lnk

C:\Windows\Desktop\Kazaa Promotions.lnk

C:\Windows\System 32\cd_clint.dll

Then you need to delete the following registry entries using regedit,

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Kazaa

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Kazaa
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\KaZaA Media Desktop_is1

To remove B3D projector,

Remove B3D projector from Add/Remove Programs

Find the folder labelled "BDE". Probably in the "Windows" or "Winnt" folder.

Inside the "BDE" folder is a program called "bdeclean.exe".

Double click on this file to run it.

Use the "Find" utility to search for a folder called "Brilliant". If you find it, then delete this folder.

Search for the following files and delete them,

bdedownloader.dll, bdedata2.dll, bdefdi.dll, bdeinsta2.dll, bdeinstall.exe, bdesecureinstall.cab, bdesecureinstall.exe, bdeverify.exe, bdeverify.dll.

That should be it!
