I needed ITunes to get some speech clips. Now it has stolen all my audio files (without permission of course). I want to return those files to Media Player as my regular player. I do not want ITunes to take over. Onlyconfused particular future clips will require ITunes to be installed. Somehow I've also acquired Quick Time with no desire to have it. All this seems like theft of my computer!

One of these methods should do it.

Open WMP. Click Tools/Options/File Types tab.

    OR

Control Panel/Add or Remove Programs/Set Program access and defaults/Custom/Windows Media Player. Click OK

    And then in iTunes:

    Open iTunes.

From the Edit menu, choose Preferences.

Click the Advanced button and then click the General tab.

Deselect Use iTunes as the default player for all audio files
