    Hello:

I am trying to get the above-referenced title out of my "Add/Remove" list. I have tried the traditional removal process from the control panel, but uninstall never finishes. Instead I get a message stating that "C:\ProgramFiles\NortonSystemWorks\NortonUtilities\Uninst.isu" cannot be found and uninstall will not continue.

I no longer have the original disc and have tried all the removal tools from the Symantec website, to no avail. Any suggestions? Thanks!

As I implied, though , editing your registry can be risky, and I would not advise it, unless you still have your Windows CD.
When you delete somes files, they could have been sharing with other programs, so you must be careful.
I would suggest you back up your registry before attempting any registry tweaks.

http://www.majorgeeks.com/AddRemove_Pro_d5572.html This will at least remove the entry from the Add/Remove list, and it may help you to completely uninstall the whole thing. It will also provide the reg key where the Norton uninstall string is stored, which may be of use also. Try running a safe reg cleaner, like Wise Registry Cleaner, or use the Issues button in CCleaner (both are free d/l's from MajorGeeks) to clean up any leftovers.
<<< SOLID advice!!!! There are other 3rd party uninstallers available that may help if the one I linked above doesn't help... GOOD LUCK!!!

This is the tool I tried over the weekend, but it didn't work either. The only place this thing appears to exist anymore is in the "Add/Delete" list and it doesn't even show a file size. Thus, if it's not really doing any harm and only appears in "Add/Delete", my next question is: should I just leave it alone & forget about it rather than risk messing around with the registry?

    Thanks!
