I attempted to remove Norton antivirus from my WinXP system using the Control Panel 'Add / Remove Software' option but it has left behind a Symantec LiveUpdate folder that I can't get rid of because "it is in use by another application" ????

I've been told that the solution lies on this site ..... but where? :)

Or do I just live with the folder and forget about it?

For best results, use SymNRT. It does a VERY thorough job removing ALL Norton crap-ola.

    Excellent! Job done.
And there appeared to be a whole lot more stuff left behind than I had appreciated.
But all now looks clean, neat and tidy.

    Very many thanks.
