Hey guys, I tried to do a search but couldn't find what I was looking for, if I overlooked it I am sorry.

Here is my debacle. My parents computer had some systems files corrupt on them. The computer would not boot at all, no safe mode, no LKG, nothing. They had alot of important stuff on there and despite my constant warnings, did not back anything up. I have removed their harddrive and put it into my computer and slaved it. I can access alot of the files on the drive, but because they went and secured their My Documents folder, I cannot get into it to copy it. That is where the data is that I need (pictures of my grandparents that died last year).

Now does anyone know how I can strip anyway the security on that hard drive so that I can copy the pictures and other documents onto and external hard drive for them? I am really hoping this is not a bad question to be asking.

Ok, I have done that, but for some reason it is not filtering down the levels. So I now have ownership of the folder, but any child folders need to be done as well. Is there is a simple way to apply the parent settings to all child folders and files.

**EDIT** NM, I figured it out
