I am working on fixing my computers redirecting problem. I was instructed by one of your 'geeks' to:

"use either 7zip (it's free) or WinRAR (http://majorgeeks.com/WinRAR_d524.html) (it's not free) to combine the files in to a single file by right clicking on the first file (it has a .001 extension) and selecting "Extract here". Then run the resulting "setup.exe" file. You will have to rename each file first: remove the .ZIP from the end of each file, otherwise they will not extract correctly"

I have downloaded 7zip but I'm unsure how to remove the .zip from the files.

    Are you on XP?

    Go to Start>Control Panel>Folder Options
Then under the View tab untick the box for "Hide extensions for known filetypes(recommended)"
    Click Apply.

Now, you should see the whole file name of your zip files.
Click rename and delete just the .zip ending, keeping the rest of the file name. So driver.001.zip becomes driver.001 and so forth.
Then use 7zip to Extract by opening 7zip finding the file with the .001 ending and selecting Extract. 7zip will find all the pieces and create a folder with the same name as the file.

To use 7zip, simply right click a .zip file and select Extract All. It gives you a possible folder. I generally do not edit whatever 7zip suggests. You'll then see your old file folder with the zipper on it and a new file folder without the zipper. All the files will be inside this folder.
