Renaming Profile

Hello; I while ago my main profile (Vista home premium 64) became corrupted and I was not able to boot to windows. After booting in to safe mode I created a 2nd profile with full admin privileges and deleted the frist profile. All is well and the PC is running correctly. While looking at c:/users; I still see the old profile. What I would like to do is rename my current profile to the name of the old profile. How would I go about doing it? Is it as simple as deleting the old folder in c:/ Users and renaming my current folder? Would there be any issues with paths after renaming?
