I have three accounts set up on my computer, one Administrator and two ordinary.

Very often if the PC is left for a few hours on the account selection screen. Then, when a user (any user) logs in, the internet connection will not work. I have found that as the Administrator, I can simply right click on the network icon in the tray and select Repair. This brings the internet connection to life and everything is fine.

Problem is, that the ordinary account users do not have that Repair option when right clicking the network icon - it's greyed out.

How can I enable just this Repair option for the ordinary users?

    Cheers,
    Lee

Go to the network connection in my network places ...right click / properties ...click on the network card configuation and find the power options and uncheck allow the computer to turn off ....

Thanks for the information, but the LAN connection has still gone to sleep overnight and it would still be useful to be able to 'repair' it.

Can the repair option be enabled by editing policies anywhere?

    Cheers,
    Lee

    Try the Group Policy Editor.

Start --> Run and type in gpedit.msc and hit enter.

    Drill down to:

    User configuration
    ---Administrative Templates
    ---Network
    ---Network Conections

See if there is a policy there that helps.
