repair rundll32.dll

I am running Windows ME and wonder if there is any way to repair my Rundll32.dll file? I keep getting error messages with it when I try to play a game I downloaded.

The message i get is "xxxxx has caused an error in RUNDLL32.DLL. xxxxx will now close."
Of course the xxxxx is the name of whatever game im playing.

Help please..this is so annoying

None of those are the error messages I am getting..should I try it anyway?

 

After doing some research, I think the problem is with the game, not with the RunDLL32. What it does is it processes (or "runs") .DLL files that are 'passed' to it. If the wrong DLL or an invalid DLL is sent to it, it will shut down. Sometimes without any error messages and sometimes with any number of different messages. Read this and see if it helps:
