Hello, I bought a download copy of Win 7 last year and installed it on my computer. It was a legal copy, complete with product key. I have numerous problems and would like to run a system repair before resorting to a complete uninstall/reinstall. Problem is, the installation disc doesn't allow me to run a repair. Can anyone help me with this? Is it possible that the download version doesn't have this capability?
    Thanks in advance.

If plodr's repair option from the disk doesn't work, there is what's called an in place repair for Windows 7 that will leave your programs in place. This video explains it very well, but you must be able to boot into Windows to run this repair:

I think this is sort of a trick. You remove Service Pack 1, so that you can get the upgrade option from the installation disk...as shown in the video. The upgrade option will reinstall Windows but leave your programs and files in place. Careful attention to the procedure is required in order for this to happen correctly, but a backup prior to running this type of repair will guarantee you can start over if you make a mistake...
