Is there a way to repair windows xp without having to reactivate?

The only way to repair is simply stick the cd in at boot, run the installer and then pick repair.

As for if this means you have to reactivate once in windows I really don't know. But how is it an issue, you've obviously activated before so even if it does you just activate again and you're good to go.

Through the repair option you should not lose your current files and programs. Yes, when you run the repair it comes back like a new install of the OS but nothing should be LOST. The only problems I have had running a repair is maybe reloading a few drivers.
