repave?

I wasnt done, I was going over options because I find the malware removal to be a difficult task.. I dont know what most of the things I'm doing are, what the nouns all mean, and I wanted an easy way

I bought my computer 2 yrs ago from amazon, it was the MS office preloaded on it, but I still had to buy a card to gain access to the MS office features.

I still have that card, I'm not sure how to reformatt my HD and I dont see a recovery option, I have restored it to a date a few months ago and Id rather recover it, I think that will get rid of all issues,,, butI dont know how to do that

isnt that better than restoring it?

 

so why does a thread I make about fixing my computer CLOSE, then has other posts added to it and I can't ask question because its closed again?

I do love the fact that my point of why I want an easier way to fix my computer is lost

I have learned to not use my computer from past posts, I dont save anythingto the main HD, I save everything, pictures, songs, MS docs, to an EHD
the biggest problem I face is not having my firefox bookmarks
but since I restored back to a point, I havent had any problems...yet my question of how to get to restore Vs recover was never answered........too much emphasis has been on the OMG YOU ARENT GOING TO DO THE 4 pages of INSTRUCTIONS OF STUFF YOU DONT UNDERSTAND? WELL MUCK YOU< *CLOSED THREAD*

Sorry that you didn't get any reply from anyone, but I simply did not understand your original question.

You want to reformat your HD, then reinstall Windows? Do you have a Windows install disk, or does your computer have a recovery partition?

What is your exact computer model, and what Windows version?

While The Read And Run, may look a tad daunting- if you choose to work your way through it and attach the requested logs you'll get the best help.

Wish there was one.

You will need to post the logs, period.

13 Sept first post in Malware Removal!! Good chance, you would have been given the all clear by now.

If it is the same computer that you sent back under warranty in the thread that I referenced, then you should have a recovery partition, and the second link explains how to use it.
