I have an Asus X555D laptop with AMD A10, radeon graphics and win 10. I M having a realyy hard time with it, and round here I do not see many ompliments either

My question is how hard is it to replace 10 with 7? I'd probably have to hire a geek to do this for me unless it is a lot easier than I think it is. Or should I just buy a win7 laptop assuming I can find one.

First visit the ASUS website and ensure the motherboard supports Windows 7.
If it doesn't, you won't find drivers.

Good catch Eldon. I called Asus and no drivers for win 7.

What specific problems are you having with Win 10?

If it's acting glitchy, a simple repair using the DISM command will often fix the issues:
    1. Type CMD in the search box (a.k.a. Cortana) at the bottom left of the screen.
    2. When the CMD option shows up, right-click on it and choose "Run as Administrator"
    3. An old school DOS style window will open. Type in (or cut and paste) this: DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth and hit enter.
    4. While you may do other tasks while this is running I'd personally refrain from doing so. At the end of the process, you'll either get a message either saying the repair worked or didn't. If it didn't, you will have to repeat the process with a slightly different command (Google "DISM") using a Windows 10 install USB or DVD.
(Yes, I know about SFC /scannow. I just prefer this method since it seems more thorough.)

    Also,
    • Do a system scan with Malware Bytes, Malware Bytes adware and a decent antivirus program. PUPS (Potentially Unwanted Programs) and adware can often cause issues.
    • If it's a specific program that is acting strange (especially freeware), it could be either a glitch in the software or a compatibility issue with the latest build of Windows 10.
    Hope this helps.

Nope. It is bloated, too complex, and awkward

Unfortunately most new PCs and motherboards are stuck with 10 as the only option for Windows. It appears the only options left are to either replace the motherboard with one that has been tested to work with Windows 7 or consider adding Linux as a dual-boot option. If you go the Linux route, be sure the board has been tested and has drivers available for whatever version you choose.

A recent thread discussed ways of getting a legit win 7 iso and key if you don't have one. It'd be needed anyway to change over. VMWare Workstation 12 is free and easy to use. It's here on MajorGeeks Home page. Just point it to the iso and it's fairly much automatic.

I have a '7 vm on an 8.1 acer and the vm is incredible! People here can walk you through without hiring a tech.

Also other vm's VirtualBox, have been posted here so 1 way or another you could get help setting it up.
