Replaced router, wireless disconnects and PC freezes

Just replaced the old Linksys router in the home network with a new Netgear N600, and ever since I have an intermittant and very strange issue - on occasion the wireless disconnects, and my PC instantly freezes up hard; to the point I have to hit the power button to restart it.

Not doing anything out of the ordinary, and the router is the only changed hardware.

Thoughts?

 

That is weird.:confused
No error messages of any kind?
Can you look in Event Viewer under System and see if there are any indications of problems/errors the next time it happens?
Driver update on your network adapter would be my only suggestion.

 

Do apologize for the extreme delay in replying to this, but tonight was the first time this has come up again. I've been paying a bit closer attention in the intervening time, and between my previous post and this one I've seen my system, I've seen just one symptom - after about ten minutes, my wireless registers as disconnecting for a few seconds, and then kicks back in. Back when I posted this thread, and tonight, that caused my system to freeze; 'twixt then and now, it just blipped for a second.

Event viewer doesn't show a thing, oddly enough - I can't even find the break where the system froze, though that may be because I restarted right away. Windows can't seem to find a better driver for my WAP (Netgear MA101 that's never given me trouble before), go figure.
