Requesting help with setting up a Home Network

    I have two computers, one is currently running off of the router that's hooked into the modem, it is actually browsing the internet. The other is hooked into the same router and cannot ping through the cmd and cannot browse the internet, dispite running the network wizard.

    My ISP is Time Warner Digital Cable.


    The CMD on the computer able to browse the internet is:

    Youre either using a switch, or you didnt hook up your router correctly.

    Make sure your modem is connected to the wan/internet port on your router. then connect your computers to the other 4 ports.

    once you do that, restart your computers. you should be good.

    Can you please post the IPConfig for the computer that cannot connect. Also, what operating systems are the computers running?

    I am confident the cords are correctly connected to both the modem and the router. I'll edit this post in a few minutes with the IPConfig of the PC that cannot connect
