Reset Computer Issues!

The backlight on the keypad ceased to function on my Asus Vivobook 15 S513E Windows 10. Asus advised me to carry out various remedies - the last being a computer reset which I did. I didn't realise that I would loose all my emails, addresses and other important information. Is there a way to re-instate my laptop to pre reset? I'm really in a pretty good mess and Asus can't/won't help. Advice please!

Please state what sort of reset you did. There is a factory reset and there is a Windows reset.

Pretty sure it was a factory reset - I've lost the email Asus sent! Oh dear! Is there any hope to get Mozilla Thunderbird emails, addresses etc back?

Try setting up Thunderbird again and your emails etc should reappear. Or log into your email in a browser. Let us know.

You are warned when you do a factory reset that you will lose everything. Generally it says to back up EVERYTHING (create an image or at the very least, copy all your files to a device off the computer's hard drive) before doing anything that drastic.
