XP Pro, SP3, current updates, 2 ghz Lenovo T60p.
I've had over 30 years computer experience but have spring a bad leak in my thinker.

Does anyone have _current_ information on refilling/resetting ink cartridges?

A review of past posts on the subject revealed years-old posts and almost no information even for that time. One poster asked for information and was told to "go google." Sad. Very sad.

The Epson Artisan 710 multi-function machine seems to be pretty good, but as everyone knows ink prices are insane and printer companies are working hard to keep it that way. (I've seen prices up to around $30 per cart for pathetically little output. Junk ink goes as low as $4.33.)

So please, if _anyone_ has good information about cost cutting for the latest T098 series of 9 pin cartridges let us know. Contrary to some old posts, these do have interior sensors and one article said the chips self-destruct when they tell you there is no more ink in them.

HALP! My Epson cartridges gave me only about 50 pages of text! :cry

Thanks very much. I like the looks of the CIS setup as well as their matching continuous flow system.

And they _say_ their German ink matches Epson's ultra expensive stuff.
