    Hey Guys,
A friend of mine has a Belkin wired/wireless router. The wireless stopped working so she had to reset the router(unplugging/replugging the back of the router) every time to get the wireless to work. Now her wireless works but the desktop computer that is right next to it and plugged in via Ethernet does not recognize the connection although it used to. It's been a constant problem since she purchased it. No settings have been changed whatsoever.
    Any Thoughts?:confused
    Thanks,
    Spock96

I would consider resetting router back to factory defaults, seeing if a firmware upgrade is available and redoing all the connections. If she is still having problems after that, it may be the router is failing.

    Open a command prompt window.
    ipconfig /release then press enter
followed by ipconfig /renew then press enter
allows the router to reassign IPs to all the devices on the home network.
