We have our internet connection through our cable company. They have a residential cable modem utilization grapher which shows us how much we are uploading and downloading. Our downloads are increasing and I'm concerned we will go over our limit.

The cable company can't tell me what exactly we are downloading. I've tried asking the DH, and kids what they are doing. My teenagers use Skype and a webcam to talk to friends and I am presuming that uses a fair amount. I'm also presuming if they watch tv shows or movies online that is using a lot as well.

Is there any way to put some kind of program on each computer (we have 3) to see what is being done on each computer? Obviously I don't know exactly what I should be looking for which is why I'm asking here. :-o

If you're just trying to find out the amount of band width each computer is using?
Installing something like |MG|Networx on each computer would do the trick. It won't show you what applications are connected.

To see what applications are connected you can use something like |MG|CurrPorts on each computer.

There are probably better solutions but these are simple and easy.

Simple and easy sounds good to me. It's hard to get the kids to stop what they are doing if I can't document it. Thanks a bunch.
