i have a digital camera, and when i upload the pictures, and save them in my email, when i click view, their huge almost twice the size of the screen, it's ok if i don't click on them but their only like thumbnails, what program could i use, or how can i get them to be smaller, so when i click on view, or double click the picture, it's an appropriate size, like even half the size of the screen, sorry i know i'm in the wrong spot in this forum, but didn't see a proper forum for this question. thanks,

Which program are you using to view them?

You can try IrfanView to resize them, but if the JPEG's default viewer is set to enlarge them you won't get anywhere.

FYI, always make a copy and save it before working with JPEG's. Don't resize or resample the original as it's a lossy compression and you lose quality and introduce artefacts.

Tman,You should also be able to take pic in vga size on your camera(nominally about 120 to 150k in size)
Your pics sound to be 500k and bigger..
I have a Sony dsc p10 and can select my pic size..

I also downloaded acdsee 8 and use this to make pics smaller..brilliant program.btw.....
