Resolution/Display Problem

    I'm not sure what I did, but after hooking up my notebook to my TV via S-video, I have lost control over my display. When I enter the control panel, two available monitors are shown and I cannot change the resolution on either. Icons are now very small even when set to large, games will only appear in a 4'' square in the center of my 15" monitor. Any advise is appreciated. I tried system restore, but that didn't help.

    System: Dell Inspiron 8000 Notebook PIII 850Mhz, 128MB RAM, running ME

    Of the two monitors shown in control panel, do you know which is for the screen you want?

    right click the desktop, depending on the software installed, you may have options in the menu to change the display, if so what options do you have?

    for now choose properties, and then the settings tab. below the picture of a monitor, is line that gives the curent display details, (EG) Display : Digital flat panel (1024 X 768) on Geforce 2.........) what does yours say?
