Resolution Problem with ATI HD 4870 x2

Hi guys,

My friend has a wide screen monitor which he was running at 1440x900, but when he installed and played a steam game(age of chivalry) and quit, there was a gap to the right of the desktop.

We tried using the auto-ajust on the monitor but with no success. Then tried re-installing Catalyst 9.9 using DriverSweeper aswell, then Catalyst 9.8. But its the same thing every time, theres only 800x600 and 640x480 to be chosen in the Catalyst control panel, but in display settings I can't move the resolution slider at all.

When we remove the Catalyst display drivers we can move the resolution slider in Display Settings but 1440x900 is not there.

We where gonna format and re-install vista but when booting from the disc the resolution isnt correct with a gap on either side of the screen.

Any one have any thoughts on this? Thanks!
