Resolution Problem.

    Hello,

    It would seem that Display Settings won't let me have any other Resolution other than 1024x768 and 800x600, I have latest drivers for my video card (See Sig for Specs).

    It has a secondary monitor option in settings also that has the option for different Resolution, My monitor supports higher Resolution... Everytime I try to make the secondary the primary it reverts back to default settings...

    I've tried a few things but I'm stumped.

    have you tried the latest drivers for your monitor?

    Yeah. they're on primary, If I try to install them to secondary it fails.

    Do you have 2 monitors connected? as secondary monitor refers to the 2nd monitor in a dual monitor setup, if you dont have 2 monitors attached it will revert back.

    What type of monitor do you have.. LCD or CRT and Make/Version?

    also, what is the screen refresh rate set to of your monitor? as you may have to lower the hz to gain the larger screen res.

    I have 1 LCD on DVI Connector, Monitor is a Dell E153FPT at 75HZ Refresh Rate.

    EDIT: I heard somewhere that refresh rate might cut down the resolution options but I get the same thing at any rate.

    Your video/grpahic card may well support higher resolutions but your LCD wont, max is 1024x768 i'm afraid.

    LOL what a crock Everest had me believing it would support higher.

    Anyway, Thanks.

    Gonna see if I can find a new monitor...1024x768 isn't cutting it anymore.
