i'm not exactly sure what your problem is...are you saying that your display resolution changes? when you say accessing the net, do you mean connecting to the internet? or opening a web browser? sorry if i just don't see what you mean. :)

    Hi

Sadly an Everest log wont tell us why this is happening, all it does is tell us what hardware you have.

A quick thought of mine is that you have text size set differently, click in IE, View > text Size and choose Medium.

But do tell us what browser and version you are using?

If this is happening when you start IE each time and on any page then try this click Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Internet Explorer
(No Add-ons) and does IE open in different resolution to your screen set resolution?

My resolution stays at what it is set as long as I am running programs such as excel, word but when I access the internet and change web sites then the monitor will blink and open back up at a lower setting to the point you can't even see the close button on the page you are looking at. I am using explore 8

maybe (thats a big maybe) you need to make sure your video drivers are up to date?

on second thought...check your compatibility settings for internet explorer. right-click the icon, and select properties, then the compatibility tab. make sure compatibility mode is not selected.

and if its not compatibility mode or any of the other suggestions, maybe it's a nasty. try using Firefox (http://mozilla.com/) it's a different web browser.
    :)
    (welcome to majorgeeks btw)
