    Greetings :D

I have an issue that while playing video games now my PC decides to restart.

I always thought it was a heat issue, and since the temp outside got warm past few days its starting to do it again.

Back then i always assumed it was my video card, i had a GTX 280(back when they first came out). Temps were always around 60C(but it always ran hot).

I bought a GTX 560ti since the 280 ended up not working at all. But the problem still persists even with temps as low at 50C now while gaming with the new card.

My CPU is always around 55C while gaming.

I now think it is my Motherboard however, i was told Speedfan can tell me my MOBO temps but im confused.

here are the temps i have listed in the program...

    GPU: 48
    temp1: 39
    temp2: 43
    temp3: 47
    HDD:36
    core0 45 core 1 45 core 2 44 core 3 46

    where is my mobo listed?

Also i bought a new case and a new PSU(mine now is a 730 and i feel my problem could also have been a PSU problem so i bought a new 950. I will be getting it soon but im curious if im completely wrong in my PSU diagnosis.

When was the last time the Fans where cleaned off.

The GTX 550 ti does tend to throw a lot of heat when gaming.

If you do not have MSI afterburner here is a link.

MSI can help i would take the fan off the Auto control and put it at 75% speed.

Make sure you dust out the computer very very well dust is not good for the GTX 550ti

I would all so try and replace the Thermal past on the GTX 550ti that's what i did when i first got mine.

GTX 550 ti is a great card no doubt but its main issues is heat problems i would get some kinda fan in your case that you can adjust its speed for more air flow i would get this kinda fan.http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811999344

Those are my temps while idle. While gaming my video card is at like 52-54C. I use EVGA Percision software to adjust the fanspeed. The problem only happens while gaming. Even in lowest settings.

I dustes off my pc a month ago when i got the new card. My case fans however stopped working. Which is why i ordered new one.

    Full specs:
    Core i7 920@2.66ghz
    Ocz special ops 6gbddr3 ram
    WD 500gb Hdd standard
    LG dvd rw drive IDE
    GIGABYTE ex58 ud3r motherboard.
    GTX 580ti 2Gb ddr3 shared mem.
    Raidmax 730w Psu

Well if that is your normal temp on the GTX 550 then its a bit high i got 118F if it goes too 160F that is bad you could burn out your GPU.

I would replace fans if they have not been working playing games while computer runs hot is not very good you could burn out some thing.

Might be a good idea to replace your FANS ASAP.

I would not play any games untill you get your Fans replaced.
