Restore a deleted account in Windows 2000

Windows 2000, I accidentally deleted my original User account when I was setting up another user account on the machine. I tried to add the first one back in, but it doesn't recognize it. In Documents and Settings, the folder and files are still there, but I have to start over with new accounts on all my programs such as Outlook Express, as though I'm a new user. Is there a way to get this account back? Thank you for any help!
