I am working on an emachine W3650. It will start up and then go to the Windows XP boot up screen and then reboot. Time and time again.

I have a restore CD with the pc using PC Angel Recovery. However, when I start the recovery, after the splash screen, I get a please wait.....

I've let it sit for over an hour and nothing. Is there a way to go around the pc recovery and get the Windows XP Home installed on it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It wont boot to safe mode, I've tried last know configuration.

When you say it gets to the boot up screen do you mean this...

or does it get past this screen and reboot on a later one?

Either way if you havn't had any luck in the thread DomLuc pointed you towards....

You say your working on this PC, are you fixing it for someone? if so did they tell you when it developed this fault? or if it is your own.... more details :p
also it cant hurt to reset the Motherboard...... and maybe run a live-CD or hook the drive up to another PC to see if the drive can be accessed ok.

Post if you need any help on how to do the above.
