restore is gone forever!!!!!!!!!!

    I need help!!
    I downloaded Spybot Search & Destroy. When it searched for problems it was just adware.When you try to restore now it states system failed because it shut down. Then windows restarts,trys to restore but can't. I went into spybot & undid everything,but it can't do system restore. My IE doesn't come up anymore. Please help me.

    Could you rewrite your problem more clearly. I'm not sure what you are saying.

    I haven't uninstalled yet because it has my backup files. When you try to do a system restore the window shuts down so fast that it comes up telling me that the sytem failed because windows shut down without backing up. Then it restarts, tries to restore but fails. I can do a uninstall,but I'm afraid after I uninstall my system restore will still not work. Something is telling windows to shut down tooo fast. What can I do??????? Idont have abything checked on the IE Tweak Page, but nothing is working. The only way to get to Internet Explorer is the back door. Once online it cannot open other pages.

    Why are you trying to perform a system restore? And why are you talking about SpyBot in the same sentences with system restore? Are you saying you fixed items with Spybot that broke your PC? I thought you said it only found adware.

    Perhaps you need to run thru our Sticky thread < READ ME FIRST BEFORE ASKING FOR SUPPORT: Basic Spyware, Trojan And Virus Removal >

    If you already have any of the programs linked in the tutorial please double check your version to make sure you have the latest one and that you have any/all updates for the programs.

    After that if you still have a problem, you should read the tutorial in this Sticky thread NO HIJACK THIS LOG FILES BEFORE READING THIS: HJT Tutorial & LOG File Posting

    Now post a HijackThis as a .txt file attachment to your message. All running programs should be closed, including your web browser, e-mail. Close before running Hijack This!

    Do NOT run Hijack This from the Desktop, a temp folder, a sub-folder of C:\Documents and Settings, or choose to run it directly from the downloaded ZIP file. Place it in its own folder, for example C:\Program Files\HJT
