    WIN7Home Premium
I just changed my BIOS logon password after a restart
When Windows started I got a message in the notification area reporting that it was installing the driver for a new device and then installation failed:
    no device driver
I have an entry in Device Manager named unknown device which has no driver
When I looked through Device Manager I couldn't find anything that was missing
I decided to do a system Restore but there was only one Restore Point, for November 15th
I know that there were restore points created since then and all of my other restore points are missing
    Could somebody please help me

The first question here is why?

How did you check how many restore points you have?
In the system restore window to find out the REAL number of restore points you have to click on 'show MORE restore points' It does NOT show them all without checking that option.
