    Hi :)
I want to restore my whole computer to the factory settings, because my computer is really slow.
I have heard you can use a windows cd but i don't have one, so should i buy it, or can i find it on the internet?
I have also heard you can use a program in acer(i have acer) called Acer eRecovery Management.
But i don't know how to use it.
Or is there another way to do this?

I have windows 7 64-bit and a Acer desktop computer

Caliban I don't need no steenkin' title!

    Greetings, pedobear702.

I think the Acer eRecovery can be accessed by pressing <Alt + F10> during startup - be advised that this is a destructive rebuild, so make sure you save any important data to a discrete device before the recovery.

    Hi pb

You can indeed restore your Acer and it's quite straightforward. However it does completely remove everything on your C drive at present, including any music or other personal files you may have stored, and it will also remove any software you have installed yourself. If you still want to go ahead I can tell you how, but it would be better initially to tell us a bit about your system, as we may be able to help you speed it up a bit.

Has it always been slow? If not, is it just slow when browsing the internet or is it slow whatever you want to do? What make and model is it, and how much RAM is installed?

I has not always been slow, but i have tried to restore to when it started and it didn't help.
And it's slow all the time!

    I have windows 7 64-bit
    8GB ram
    It's a Acer Desire M5300

But is there a way i can restore my computer totally? Like if it was new?

    OK

Start > All Programs > Acer Empowering Technology Folder > Acer Empowering Technology

You should now have a small toolbar appeared on your desktop, as in the pic. Click on the icon I have marked, and in the next window select the backup you want and click Restore.

(This is from a Vista machine, but I doubt it's much different in Win 7)
