restoring backup files windows xp

    can someone please walk me through restoring the backup files i have on my computer. Please!!!!

    Should be simple enough but we do need to know how these backups were created.

    i had an lsassrv.exe errror and i went to recovery and did a non destructive repair recovery and it made backups of my files. when i try to use the restore wizard it will not open any of my backup files

    This sounds like a failure of your computer's inbuilt recovery system, rather than a failure of any backup program in XP. Sorry, I know of no way of sorting that out.
