Restoring Quartz.dll file

I am using Windows 98 SE and somehow deleted the file "Quartz.dll". I now find that I am unable to view any video or hear the audio files including midi because a message always reminds me that "the quartz.dll file is missing". Does anyone know how I can replace this one file back into my system? Also, where would it go? I have heard that it is part of the win32 file, others say it is part of the DirectX file, etc. So, could I download the file from, say, download.com and then place it into either one of these files or what would be the best way to fix this problem? Thanks Clark! I went to the site you suggested but found that there are TWO files pertaining to "Quartz.dll". One of the files has a (2) by it (2 files??), the other is by itself. They are also of different SIZES. Would you, perchance, have any idea as to WHICH ONE I should use?

One more thing, once the .dll file has been downloaded, do I just open Explorer and go to "System" and try to drop the file in there? Sometimes those files can "bounce-out" or reject an attempt to place another file. Any suggestions in advance? Thanks!

 

Download first the one with NO (2) place it in your windows directory
and try your program if not working try in system or system32 i don't remember anyway the system with the most files in it.

If still not working try the one with the 2 and do the same step.....
