I bought a larger drive to restore my much smaller system image to. I was running out of space on the smaller drive. Under properties, my new larger drive looks to be the same small size as the original image.

I used Win 7 backup and restore. If I hit the space limit of the old image, will windows allow me to utilize the remaining space on my new larger drive?

Right my computer then click manage when the pane opens again click manage, how does the drive show there?

You can use Disk Management to expand the C drive into the unallocated space on your new drive. If it won't allow you to use all the unallocated space then you could use Partition Wizard
