Restoring Winamp In windows 7

This may get a bit complicated so bear with me. I have been working on backing up settings for not only winamp, but Opera, Firefox (yes I know about Moz Backup) and Maxthon Browser.

I found a free program called install creator. I Found the path to the backups In windows Xp For Winamp and Opera and FireFox and Maxthon. I Simply Backup my settings with it, Restore it to the same path and it works like a charm. Simply click on the exe I made with install creator and a few screens later its back to the way it was.

Now I know the Restore Path I need to use for Windows 7, Question is if I Backup my settings in XP then Restore the same settings in Windows 7 You think it will work?? The theory is sound but will it work in reality?
