retrieving e-mail files from old hard drive

Help Please!!!
My old machine croaked.
My pea brain managed to install the old hard drive on the newer computer and I retrieved my favourites from my old Mozilla Firefox setup.
Because of volunteer work that I do, I find that I'm in desperate need of my address book and e-mails from my old Thunderbird program.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Make sure your explorer is set to view hidden files, and go to the following on the old drive

Drive Letter:\Windows\Application Data\Thunderbird\Profiles\<Profile name>\

there you should find your old Thunderbird info. if you cpy and paset that to your new thunderbird installation, you should be up and running

just be sure to backup your new thunderbird data in case it overwrites or something.
