Redundant since Avast and AVG are the same company! https://blog.avast.com/avast-and-avg-become-one this was way back in 2016. I would not use either program.

 

Since I wouldn't use Avast or AVG for an antivirus (I prefer MS Security Essentials), I certainly would not use a browser from the company.
I used to use AVG years and years ago but dropped them when the original company was sold. AVG rapidly went downhill. I also tried Avast and Anti_Vir and didn't like those either.
Decades ago, I paid for and used Norton and McAfee. Now I wouldn't touch either of those products.

MS has worked and improved the builtin av program so it makes sense to use something because it is as good as the others AND it doesn't create problems for the OS.

Products continue to evolve. Some get better and some get worse. I read reviews to see what is good.

ESET is good but unfortunately, it slows down my computer so bad that I removed it. I do use it on my android devices because there is no slow down on them.
