right click mouse access

Hi guys, lately in my XP based system, whenever I right click mouse for properties of a file of program, it takes forever to show the box.
I first noticed it when it took about about 2-3 seconds to brng up the properties box and now it has increase gradually to about 6-8 seconds.

What I have noticed is that the first time I run this process (after a boot up)
it takes this long, but subsiquently it will then takes less time, but still somes taking a long time on occasions.

I though it maybe a virus or spyware, so I ran norton AV, spybot, adware and hijack this, but still have the same problems. the sime lag can sometimes be very frustrating.

Hi, I looked at the soluions/directions provided but the problem is still the same, no difference at all.

I've also noticed that when I installed spybot it did the scan, but now I cannot find the program on the computer. I know its installed as its listed in the add/remove list, its like its hidden from me (I've enabled to show all hidden files) but I cannot find.

I then unistalled the prohram and re-installed it, but I can't find it in program files folder or anywhere else. Xp can't even find it through a search?

Any further suggestions?
