    several years ago I had a ripper that would accept a line input from say a cassette player (etc) any one know of one now? :-D

    line input for a cassette player?

    Audacity will do this, take the line in into your sound card, and then select the correct option in audacity. Then save as mp3 or wav. Any modern recording software will give you the option to record a line input in your pc.

    this a program i used to rip vinyl lp's and analog cassettes to cd called spin it again http://www.acoustica.com/spinitagain/index.htm there is even a free trial version.

    I need a hobby right my wife is dead and all my kids are grown so this is my hobby i have several hundred cassettes and several thousand LP's would like to cut down on the clutter as nursing homes will not allow that much stuff I hope I can follow the directions thannks ppl I knew i'd get an intelligent answer here
