ripping a section out of a dvd

    i want to i guess rip a section out of a dvd, i dunno if theres a term for that, i just want to get the movie lions for lambs and take out the part where the kids do their school project

    is there any easy software u can recommend to do that? pls nothing real technical

    There are a couple of obstacles in doing what you are trying to do.
    The biggest one is that most commercially recorded DVDs are copy protected.
    Although there are many decoders available on the internet that can circumvent this copy protection, these are at least technically illegal.

    If you have a DVD that is not copy protected you can "rip" the video to your hard drive by using a freeware program thjat is available through MG.

    The resulting file can be edited and then played on your computer or burned to a new DVD using any of a number of DVD authoring tools available on the internet.
