I have an AMD northbridge chipset that has no heatspreader. The stock heatsink had a kind of foam/rubber pad on the bottom around the area that contacted the chip itself. The pad pressed against the lower area of the chip and kept the heatsink securely on the small, raised chip in the center. I can't find these pads for sale anywhere and I can't figure out what they're called. Does anyone have ideas?
