Rlt8201n will never work again...:(

i have a compaq sr5413wm and tried to install MINT but having troubles getting drivers for nfirce 430 istall but end error msg THE NVIDIA kernel module could not be created.............i odnt have access to legal copy of vista which is the only os that hp supports for this chipset (quick fix) trying to find anyone with same hardware was able to set up a linux distro and has rlt8201n LAN working :cry

Can you plug in your Ethernet and allow Mint to install drivers?
