Hey i ordered steelseries siberia v2 headset and the mic doesnt work anymore so steelseries told me to send it back. So im wondering how do i send it back with the post office? All i have is the headset and money and the shipping information. Does the post office give me the box and stuff to put it in?

If you're shipping priority flat rate they have different boxes, with various rates. They will not pack it for you. If those boxes don't work, best find a pack and ship place.

i dont understand what you mean, is there a way for me to just bring the headset and cash and the shipping information on a piece of paper to the post office and be able to ship it? or do i need my own box and stuff..

Each company does it differently. What did they tell you they would provide? If they didn't tell you anything, you will probably need to package it with what you have. Very few companies will give you empty packaging to use.

Not the post office, no. Steel Series, or whichever company you are doing the RMA with.

    RMA TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
    ------------------------------------------------------------------

Please Note: A replacement product will only be shipped once we receive the defective product.

All RMAs received after the expiration date (30 days from approval) are void and non-renewable.

You will need to pay for the shipping cost to ship back the defective product - we will pay for the new one. It is your choice how you send it.

Check the import/export laws in your country - ask your local post office for the details. Some countries demand you fill out an export form if you don't want to pay customs when you receive the new product.

It is your responsibility that your package reaches our warehouse. It would be a smart idea to get a receipt or a tracking number.

A tracking number will be requested as proof that product was shipped prior to expiration date of the RMA. Product Replacements will NOT be granted if shipped after the expiration date.

When your product arrives at our warehouse we evaluate if it applies to our warranty.

If not: We will return the product as is.

If it does: We will ship a new product within the 2-3 business days.

When a new product is shipped, you will receive a tracking number.

    a. Please return the MAIN product that is displaying the defect. Do NOT send us the USB soundcard or Audiomixer with your headset unless there is a problem with that soundcard, or unless specifically instructed. If we do not specifically tell you that we will replace the soundcard, you will NOT receive a USB version headset.

This means you have to get your own packaging and you pay for it, and you pay the shipping fees.

I recommend you get someone like UPS or FedEx to ship the thing for you. It will cost a little bit more, but if your package is lost in transit they will actually help you, USPS won't. Depending onhow much your headset cost you to purchase, it would probably be worth it to pay a bit extra for insurance.

Example: I once had to send a $400 motherboard to the manufacturer for warranty exchange. Paying $30 for insuring that shipment was a no-brainer, compared to the cost of being force to buy a replacement if the board was lost or damaged in transit.
