RoboForm - Opinions Safe or Not?

What do you guys reckon?

Ive always been paranoid about making sure I dont keep my details lying around on the system anywhere. But the amount of forms, log ins, shopping sites etc that I do and use every day has made me look into this a bit further.

Anyone ever used this program and had any problems?
An alternative maybe?

Robo Form is a great form filler, I've used it lots. As far as security, I'm not sure, but I think I recall that the numbers to credit cards, etc are encrypted. If you secure your computer, I'm sure it will be okay. I say, check it out.

 

I have used Roboform now for about 6 months or so, exactly for the reasons you mention, there is just too much stuff to remember. You save your data DES or 3DES scrambled, so that should be enough to keep your data secure. I can now also use "crazy" passwords (it can generate them for you) because I do not have to remember them anymore, making my passwords much more secure. Keep a backup of your RoboForm files though. You can also run RoboForm from a USB memory stick to make things even more secure and transportable from one computer to another.
It is a little scary to put everything in one location on your computer but use every option you have to make things a bit more secure. 3DES encryption, do not use the default directory for data, use a good spyware program, a firewall and all the other goodies that are available to you.
