RockXP?

Has anyone ever heard of this? I ask because I have a license I would like to be able to use..only problem it's one from a piece of junk compaq laptop that is fairly new but they want almost a $1000 to fix..

it seems like it should be that if you buy a license..you should be able to put it on whatever you want...one at a time, of course...

Retail should work, if you remove it from this system and activate over the phone.

 

Even though their legalese says no, it might be worth a try. I've upgraded my system so many times since buying XP Pro (OEM version to boot) that the only thing remaining is the case. I've got to call them to activate, and explain that I've upgraded everything too many times for automatic activation, and they give me activation numbers.

Obviously NOT cool if actually running on 2, but for one and only... I'd try it.

 

besides..who's gonna know. so long as you have a license.. go for it.

Hi people iam very new to this and just come across majorgeeks
I want to put xp back on my pc after a reformat - does these key gen numbers actually work as i need a new activation etc ..please help as i have emailed microsoft explaining -and still nothing back from them (surpise suprise)
